Udupi: Propaganda is Congress' way of life, says Kuylady Suresh Nayak

Udupi, Apr 18: “The Anna Bhagya scheme that is implemented in the state under central government’s food security bill is, unfortunately, being portrayed by Congress as its own achievement. Though the government reimburses Rs 29 per kg, the former chief minister Siddaramaiah is gaining publicity by paying Rs 3 as the state’s share,” stated Udupi district BJP president Kuylady Suresh Nayak.

“The Indira Canteen scheme implemented by Congress during its term was baseless. They had spent crores of rupees on the project. But, the district Congress has forgotten lacs worth scam in the scheme," he added.

“Chief minister B S Yediyurappa-led government have been successful in containing the pandemic and continued to provide the benefits of Anna Bhagya and mid-day meal schemes to beneficiaries. It is condemnable that Congress is mocking the government with regards to the coronavirus situation,” Nayak said.

“Migrants in any part of India are able to get ration by One Nation, One Ration card system. Rs 6,000 are being credited by the Centre and Rs 4,000 by the state government into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries under the Kisan Sammann Nidhi initiative. The credit of Rs 500 to the Jan Dhan accounts and distribution of free food and other facilities during distress show the pro-people initiatives of the BJP governments at the centre and the state.”

“It is the habit of the Congress party to oppose all the BJP government initiatives. They are only involved in spreading propaganda against BJP,” stated Kuyilady Suresh Nayak in the press release.
