Tulu movie ‘English’ running to packed houses in UAE, Oman

Dubai, Apr 17: ‘English - Enkleg Barpuji Bro’, the Tulu slapstick comedy movie which is running houseful shows in Mangaluru, Puttur, Sullia, Beltangady, Moodbidri, Udupi, Kundapur, Manipal, Karkala, Bengaluru, Mysuru, Sakleshpur, Shuntikoppa, Hubballi, Shivamogga and Kasargod, is released in Oman and UAE now and is running houseful shows.

This movie which is produced under the banner ACME Movies International is produced by the renowned Dubai entrepreneur and Kannada cine producer Harish Sherigar and his wife Sharmila Sherigar. The movie is directed by K Sooraj Shetty. The movie was released on April 15 at Oman and UAE (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Fujairah and Sharjah). It is running to full houses in Oman. At the same time in Dubai it is running continuously for full house shows.

This movie has good comical moments and comes with a good message to society. The movie keeps the audience glued to their seats till the last scene. In addition, the melodious songs of the movie will soothe the mind of the cine-goers.

The unique movie which is entering into the fourth week of its release in the theatres in India is establishing one more milestone by getting screened in Oman and UAE.

In this movie, which has created many records even before the release, every dialogue is well written, comedy scenes, the acting by the comedians, cinematography, songs, background music and picturesque locations are very well done. On the whole, this movie is made for all forms of people.

Various situations in the movie are comical in nature. The screenplay, dialogues, songs are brilliant, which has contributed to the enormous success of the movie.

This is the first Tulu movie in which an 8k camera has been used. In addition, it also is the first movie which was filmed at Bengaluru Palace. A thespian of Kannada movies, Anant Nag also has played a special role in the movie and is his first Tulu movie.

The world premiere show of this movie was held at Al Ghurair Center Deira, Dubai on March 13, 2020. This is the first time in history that the world premiere of a Tulu movie has taken place in Dubai.

There is a big team of veteran comedians of Tulu cinema in the movie, like Aravind Bolar, Naveen D Padil, Bhojraj Vamanjoor, Vismay Vinayak and Deepak Rai. Prithvi Amber of Diya fame is the male lead while Navya Poojary has donned the role of the leading actress in the movie.

Already movies like ‘March 22’, ‘Hottegagi Genu Battegagi’ and ‘Yaana’, which are produced under the banner of ACME Movies International have attained great success, where March 22 has secured national and state-level awards.

The screenplay, story, dialogues and direction of the movie is done by K Sooraj Shetty. Music is provided by Kadri Manikanth. Cinematography is done by Krishna Sarathi and Abhilash Kalathi. Manu Shedgar has done the editing. Mahesh Enmuri is the art director. Lyricists are penned by Arjun Levis and Loku Kudla. Bhajarangi Mohan is the choreographer for the movie.

    Aravind Bolar acted well but Naveen D. Padil and Bhojraj Vamanjoor's acting is not impressed the audience this time.
