Mangaluru: Agnesian Prof Dr R Nagesh conferred with prestigious Red Diamond Achiever award

Mangaluru, Apr 15: Dr R Nagesh has been honoured for his contribution to sports and literature at Jaipur, Rajasthan on April 11. At the felicitation program Dr Nagesh, associate professor at St Agnes College (Autonomous) was conferred with the Red Diamond Achiever award by NRB Foundation and Bhavya International.

A former army officer, Dr Nagesh had served in the army for over two decades. Post voluntary retirement, he pursued MPhil and doctorate in Hindi despite being a double post graduate in administration and Hindi. He has not only contributed immensely to the field of education and literature but also been a research guide to many. It is noteworthy that he represented Rajasthan at the Junior National Level Football Tournament in 1985, the citation read.

Abiding by the guidelines set to control the pandemic, few awardees joined the ceremony via virtual modes. Dr Nagesh was among the total of 250 achievers who were felicitated for their contribution to literature, journalism, social service, education, art, astrology, enterprise, agriculture, film, fashion, astrology and other fields.

The event was jointly organised by NRB Foundation and Bhavya International.
