Mangaluru: Shakthi Institute holds special assembly session

Mangaluru, Mar 25: “Physical exercise has a huge potential to enhance our wellbeing. Along with the physical benefits, physical activity has a positive impact on individual mental health. It improves individuals’ confidence and a sense of achievement, levels of self-esteem and acceptance. Regular exercise boosts creativity and mental energy too,” said Dr Kishore Kumar C K, director of Physical Education, Mangalore University, Mangalagangotri, lighting a lamp on Thursday March 25 at a special assembly session in Shakthi Institute.

Regular exercise, such as swimming, improves memory function and thinking skills. He asked the students to utilize the facilities provided on the campus and reap the benefits. Swimmers become goal-oriented in their personal and professional lives. Swimming can also improve physical strength and balance he added.

Ramesh K, the chief advisor, Prakyath Rai-Institute Development Officer, Sudheer M K principal-in-charge of Shakthi PU College, Vidya Kamath G, principal of Shakthi Residential School, all the teaching and non-teaching staff and students were present on the occasion.
