Mangaluru, Mar 10: Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) entered into a Memorandum of Understanding for collaboration of educational and research activities with KLE’s B M Kankanawadi Ayurved Mahavidyalaya, Belagavi.

Yenepoya deemed to be university vice-chancellor Dr Vijay Kumar, registrar Dr Gangadhar Somayaji, Yenepoya research centre deputy director Dr Rekha P D, KLE’s B M Kankanawadi Ayurved principal Dr B S Prasad, research convener Dr Giridhar Vedatam and Dr Swarda Uppin were present during the signature process.

The agreement includes cooperative research, training and joint programmes on education, exchange of teaching staff and students.

The agreement intends to regenerate the results of medicines as mentioned in ancient Ayurveda treatises and use them on animal models in joint research. The organizations have opined that the collaboration will be exemplary for the scientific world and health sector.
