Mangaluru, Mar 9: Shobha, HOD of Commerce of St Aloysius College (Autonomous), was awarded PhD for her thesis on 'An Evaluation of Micro Insurance Schemes - A Study with reference to Self Help Group Members in Dakshina Kannada District' by Tumkur University.
She was successfully guided by Dr P N Udayachandra, the dean and head of the department of Commerce of SDM College (Autonomous), Ujire.
She is the proud daughter of Dharnappa and Rukmini from Thokkottu, Mangaluru and wife of Ashok M Prasad, an assistant professor from the department of BCA of St Aloysius College (Autonomous), Mangaluru.
