Only poor people irrespective of religion and caste should get benefits. categorizing people into different brackets for benefits is a dangerous precedent and an unhealthy practice.

Christian's get nothing. In fact Christian's give to all directly or indirectly in the form of education hospitals orphanages many more selfless services. So all these crores in words and news makes no sense at all. Just a emotional satisfaction for some to think look Christian got so much. Thank god we Christian's work hard and make our living even though many govt positions are not given to Christians. That is why many Christians are working overseas. So dont be sad. We need no crores only we need your love. Bless you

Let's appreciate the fact that CM has recognised the minorities. The amount which is earmarked for the development has to be utilised by the people who deserve and how to get the actual amount reserved. It should be utilised for the right purpose willingly.

Not sure how the money will be spent. I hope this will go as scholarship to poor students in the community. Other schemes such as different pensions, subsidies will be availed from different funds anyways. In that sense the central govt has shown clear policy. Highest ever minority scholarships, rest of the amount will be taken care of usual schemes like pensions, subsidies, ujwala scheme etc. I hope Karnataka will not go like TN, Andhra, Telangana, WB etc where pastors and maulvi's get hefty monthly salary, which should have been from the community collected money not from the govt. Then every election year to appease the community, the govt or the party will increase/promise to increase in manifesto. Common people in the community will end up getting nothing. Increase the tax, make every citizen spend more, in return keep the schools, cities , roads dirty, but spend money on these salary schemes to convey we are doing something for the community. In TN during this election year, govt has increase the amount to 25-30k. Then we read poor street sweepers of municipality, corporation agitating for permanent employment or rise in salary of 500 rs etc. I did not mention some states issuing salary to hindu priests just because temples come under govt, in fact priests get small salary, pension of 10-15k when compared to amount of money collected at temples. In fact, I do not understand the concept of minority citizen in India in terms of these schemes. Unlike many other countries where citizens are immigrated and hence the ethnicity is minority, here it is own people who chose to follow different paths for various reasons. Many people even pray at different places of worships of different religions. Better deal would be spending large amount to schools where poor people's children can get quality education. In govt schools though the cost is almost free , the poor people strive to send children to costly pvt schools spending 15-20k per annum in rural and 2L in cities.

I firmly believe that " Netas " should stay away from giving any rhetorical statement.. There are many NGO'S who are working in uplifting the marginalized.... let them identify the worthy recipients, a special cell can monitor the aid, they should ensure that the aid is not unscrupulously used to line the pockets of powerful stooges !!!!

No yaar. In fact there is no need for any Jumlas or appeasement. If an election is conducted today BJP will surely win by a majority. On the other hand, its obvious who resorts to Jumlas and appeasement tactics to win elections. I this does not work the leaders eventually flee and contest in a safe constituency in to win on Muslim votes.

Christians are numerically a minuscule minority comprising Catholics 1% Protestant 1% They are primarily found in the coastal regions and across North East East India... Most come from marginalized and middle class families.... Christians are not entitled for any reservations n financial aid, hence CM Yediyurappa, must be complimented, for this monetary support, to the most needy brethren in the community.......
