No corona negative report prove a hurdle for bride stuck in Madikeri, groom in Kerala

Daijiworld Media Network – Madikeri (EP)

Madikeri, Feb 27: Corona regulations have obstructed a couple who are supposed to get married in Madikeri on March 1. The couple is already engaged. The bride is a resident of Madikeri while the groom is a resident of Kerala. The couple is anxious and worried over the situation.

As corona cases have spiked in Kerala, there are restrictions on people from Kerala entering into Karnataka. A corona negative report 72 hours prior to their travel is mandatory. The government laboratories will be closed on Sunday. The groom’s party is in quandary without the corona negative reports.

Private laboratories charge Rs 2,500 for each of the corona test. The charges for 15 people to go for the wedding will be Rs 35,000. The groom’s party is unable to spend the required amount.

The bride’s party has requested the district administration to allow the groom’s party to arrive without the Covid negative reports. Though it is a year since the spread of coronavirus, people are afraid to hold programmes such as weddings.

K b r...🤣🤣🤣🤣....you too are right. Actually negative reports are to be obtained prior to 72 hours then, why did he wait for Sunday ? He could have reached madikeri 3 days Agree before prepared well in advance. Agree, 35,000/- is a big amount. He could have made reports of some who are very close to him and to cut down some expenses which will spend on unnecessary things. Secondly, bride cannot request the officials. Why she wants take up risk unnecessarily asking the people to enter without the negative reports. If the cases are spiking in kerala, as per Sahil, how their dreams get fulfilled?

@k.b.r.mangalauru,do you think it is so easy simply to reject the groom after engagement just because the test is costing.?Find a way to put back marriage with grand function later ,but now can be married in civil court with only parents both sides.or go to another place both sides to meet.

Hello KBR, what kind of a heart do you have? Are you born as a Nawab's son? If the groom does not have 35K does not mean he can not take care of his bride. They both can work hard and move forward. Do you know the wedding stress/formalities/expenses or just talking because for you 35K may be nothing but for some 35K may be their entire life savings. So please dont judge people. Hope and pray that someone in govt department or some businessmen who can sponsor their tests come forward so that this innocent couple can be joined in holy matrimony and live happily ever after.
