Karnataka govt increases car allowances of ministers, MPs to Rs 23 lac

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Feb 25: Though the state exchequer is badly hit due to the coronavirus pandemic, it has not affected the luxurious lifestyle of ministers and MPs of the state.

The state government has considerably increased the car buying allowance of ministers and MPs of the state in the midst of the financial crunch faced due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

An order to this effect was released by the state government. It has agreed to give Rs 23 lac each to the ministers and MPs to buy cars. Ministers and MPs were pressurizing the state government in this regard for quite some time now. The state government had written a letter in this context to the finance department of the state, which has now been given a green signal.

Earlier, the state government was providing an allowance of Rs 22 lac. Now it is increased by further one lac rupees.

Saying in Kannada " Beliye holavannu Meyidanthey aiththu - Sarvazna ". So the Ministers & MP etc who are supposed to be working towards benefit and good of people, are looting the hard earned citizens' money. Government by the people, for the people is almost buying the people, far from the people. They are so selfish and self centered that they are surely not bothered about welfare of the people. While the state exchequer is reeling under the Post Covid affects, all necessary commodities prices are going sky high, it is getting difficult for common people to survive. But then it just does not bother our ministers. They are willing to fight for a Lucrative Ministerial Berth where they can get more money & now all this and more. Shame on you people who have taken up this decision. You only are proving that you are least bothered about your state people. You are bothered about only filling up your pockets. God Save us.!!

Cars is western culture. BJP is much concerned about our national culture. Let the government give these high profiled people "BULLOCK CARTS" and be a roll model for the general public. First you all protect the environment from smoke and respect our bullock carts.

Our CM has increased the allowance to all MPs & MLAs. Now he is thinking to increase the BMTC fares claiming that Diesel price gone up. But these people are going to enjoy with Tax payers Money. My request with our CM is why he can't bring down the GST Amount so that automatically Diesel price will Come down and why he cannot propose for GST Rate for both Petrol & Diesel

Increase in car allowances of ministers,MPs at the cost of general public and poor is welcome step by the government of Karnataka.Government is more bothered, worried about MPS and ministers but middle class and poor people are totally ignored and neglected in all respects. Government is not worried about the steep increase in almost all the daily consumable items including petrol, diesel. When people are feeling the brunt of price increase of all the items, government is contemplating to increase car allowances. What was the necessity to increase the allowance at this juncture.Instead of increasing, their salary and allowances should have been reduced to 50%. It is people's tax money they are enjoying. Is chief minister paying from his own pocket?.This is injustice done to the poor and middle class people by the government. Really I feel disgusted to digest this unethical increase in car allowance.Instead of increasing car allowance, look at the sky rocketing prices of almost all the daily consumable commodities including petrol and diesel.Skyrocketing prices of petrol and diesel is the root cause of all the increases. It will have a very bad impact on all the business activities, transportation, which in turn impact the lives of common people. At least have a logic and apply your mind rather than paying attention towards vote bank.

And when the common man is forced to pay through his nose for fuel, these elected representatives enjoy free fuel, burden of which is borne by the taxpayers. No wonder, no politician whether ruling or opposition is seriously concerned about all time high fuel prices.
