Bantwal: Carmel College Modankap organises Fresher’s Day

Bantwal, Feb 24: Fresher’s Day was celebrated on February 20 at the auditorium of Carmel College Modankap.

The programme began by invoking God's blessings.

Melwin V Felix, HOD of Commerce of Pana PU and Degree College was the chief guest of the programme. He addressed the students and stressed on the topic 'Opportunities for Commerce Students' motivating them to prepare for various competitive exams.

Dr Sr Latha Fernandes AC, the principal of the college, vice-principal Florine Menezes and the co-coordinators of the programme Deepthi D’Souza and Bhavitha K were present on the dais.

Various cultural programmes and activities were conducted from the II year and III year students to the fresher’s. The first year students introduced themselves and showcased their talents through dance, skit and song.

Nithesh Noronha of III BCom accorded words of welcome. Aseema Shihana of I BCom proposed the vote of thanks. Shafeeka of II BCom, Nasiya Nisha of I BCom and Mahammad Jabir of I BCom compered the programme.
