Mangaluru, Feb 23: The Mangaluru University level south zone inter-college women’s throwball tournament was held on February 20 under the leadership of the University evening college at the college grounds, here.

Local corporator and advocate, A C Vinayaraj lit the lamp and set the programme in motion. He said that students should indulge in extracurricular activities along with academics. “We should participate in outdoor games and sports to maintain our health during the corona pandemic."

University College physical education deputy director Dr Keshava Murthy T distributed prizes to the winners during the concluding programme. University evening college principal Dr Subhashini Srivatsa presided over the programme.

University evening college MCom, MBA department (IB) convener Dr Jagadeesh B, tournament convener Ashwath Salian, Mangauru University south zone convener Rafik and tournament supervisor Roopavati were present on the dais.

The first prize was bagged by Dr P Dayananda Pai – P Sathish Pai Government First Grade College Car Street and second prize was won by the university college student’s team.
