Puttur: General body meeting, inauguration of PTA at St Philomena PU College

Puttur, Feb 21: Parent-Teacher Association for the academic year 2020-21 was held at St Philomena PU College, Puttur on February 20 at Silver Jubilee Memorial Hall.

The programme was inaugurated by the dignitaries with the lightning of the lamp.

The president, Fr Lawrence Mascarenhas, correspondent said that everyone should have faith in God and parents should guide their children in the right path. He added that both parents and teachers play a major role in upbringing their children. He assured parents that the college will do it's best in shaping the future of the students. 



The principal, Fr Vijay Lobo said that parents play a dominant role in the life of their children and the only investment that parents do to their children is to educate them. He briefly explained about the rules and regulations that should be followed by the students. 

The president of PTA, Shashikumar Rai, Ballyottu, director of DCC Bank and expressed his happiness and said that parents  have a lot of dream about their children and so as parents they should upbring their children in the best possible way. He advised parents to teach their children the quality of self discipline and loyalty, as it plays a dominant role in  the present society.  

Prashanth Bhat P, department of chemistry and secretary of PTA conducted the election for the various posts of new office bearers.

Anil Kumar, department of computer science and treasurer of PTA presented the report of the academic year 2019-20.
