Dubai: Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan pays humble tribute to outgoing minister

Dubai, Feb 11: UAE's minister of foreign affairs and international cooperation Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan paid a touching tribute to an outgoing minister of state.

Sheikh Abdullah referred Dr Anwar Gargash, the former minister of state for foreign affairs, as his teacher.

Dr Gargash was appointed as diplomatic advisor to the UAE President in a cabinet reshuffle announced recently.

Taking to Twitter, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed said Dr Gargash was a friend at the ministry of foreign affairs and international cooperation.

“We will miss you at the ministry, my friend," Sheikh Abdullah said.

He thanked Dr Gargash for his efforts in Emirati diplomacy, and said, "everything that you taught me, which illuminated my road".
