Udupi, Feb 5: Deputy commissioner G Jagadeesha made it mandatory for clinics to report ILI and SARI cases. “The number of swab tests are decreasing in the district. He was speaking after presiding over Udupi district level private medical registration authority meeting held at the office of district health and family welfare on Thursday, February 5.

The deputy commissioner directed all the health workers to mandatorily get vaccinated. “The district is leading in all the sectors. It should set an example in the vaccination drive. ILI and SARI reports should be submitted properly by private clinics. If those with the symptoms are not made to undergo swab tests, the licenses of such private clinics will be cancelled,” the DC said.

DHO Dr Sudhir Chandra Sooda, district family welfare officer, Dr Ramadas K, taluk health officer, private hospital doctors and staff were present.

First provide proper platform for reporting and appoint people to collect data. Provide support to local clinics and educate people to provide correct info regarding their addresses and numbers . Doctors can't sit and verify their data apart from treating patients. All the data like phone numbers or customers collected all these days from malls and shopping complexes ...what was done with it ? Was it used for other purposes like commercial advertisements ?
