Mangaluru, Jan 30: 'Be The Change You Wish To See In The World' Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi

Peace Day or Martyr's Day was celebrated at St Agnes CBSE School on January 30 to pay homage to the victims who sacrificed their lives and fought for the freedom, welfare and progress of the country.

The programme commenced with a prayer service led by the teachers, invoking the blessings of the Almighty for peace and harmony in our country. A beautiful message was given by the students in the form of dance. An emotional feeling of humanity was created when the students raised their thrilling voices through a song. The significance of the day was given by Reishan Maria of grade 111 and Arlynn Sequeira of grade X. The students depicted various quotes of great personalities there by resolving to be better persons in the homes and neighbourhood so that the country can radiate peace. A minute's silence in memory of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was observed at 11.00 am.

A programme on harmony and peace were organised for the students of the lower classes on account of Martyrs Day Peace Day. The students actively participated in a very creative manner.
