Women Wing of Billavara Association Organizes Blood Donation Camp

Mumbai, Jun 15: The women’s wing of metro-based Billavara Association, organized a blood donation camp at Billava Bhavan, Santacruz (East), here on Saturday June 12.  It was organized in association with Think Foundation Blood Bank of suburban Goregaon. 

Jaya C Suvarna, president of Billavaar Association inaugurated the camp. 

Speaking on the occasion, Jaya C Suvarna said that blood is the life source for every living creature. Therefore, the blood donation by brethrens promotes communal harmony and brotherhood in the society, she added.

Think Foundation vice-president Vinay Shetty, Dr Dhanavanthi Beke, Billavar Association vice-presidents L V Amin and Nityanand D Kotian, honorary chief secretary Jyothi K Suvarna, women’s wing executive president Jayanthi V Ullal and honorary secretary Laxmi N Kotian among were present on the dais. 

Vinay Shetty said that death is inevitable to everyone. Blood is precious and its donation can give life to the wounded and those in need of blood transfusions.   

Jayanthi Ullal said that women’s wing of Billavara Association has been actively organizing blood donation camps with genuine concern for the needy in the society. 

Blood donation camp organizor Jagdish Amin, Billavara Association youth wing secretary Ravindra V Amin, education committee secretary B Ravindra Amin, Prabha K Bangera, Prema R Kotian, Susheela Poojary, Vilasini K Salian and Pramila Kotian among others donated their blood on the occasion.    

Dr Dhanavanti Beke, Sudhir Koth of Think Foundation, Praful Navar, Kuldip Piyure, Shekar More, Krishna Vikay Pawar, Sonal Patil, Abhilash Gaikwad, Yogesh Monte and Rajesh Wagh assisted at the blood donation camp.
