Rectified Spirit is coming to DK & Kasargod district in large quantity and the big barons in this region are involved in this lucrative business. They illegally acquire Rectified Spirit which is the byproduct of molasses in sugar factories and store them in huge underground Sintex tanks in many villages in these two districts. From late evening till early morning their activities start. They make duplicate liquors of all well known brands and distribute them to most wine shops & restaurants for half the cost. The police & excise officials are hand in gloves with them so who cares?
