Dubai: Al Habtoor Group donates 18 ambulances for emergency fleet

Dubai, Oct 15: With the contribution of Al Habtoor Group, the Dubai emergency fleet added 18 ambulances worth Dh 7.5 million on Wednesday, October 14. The Group will be providing 50 ambulances to the Dubai Corporation for Ambulances Services (DCAS) worth Dh 22.5 million with delivery phases until 2022 with the 18 ambulances made in the first batch of delivery.

Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, founding chairman of Al Habtoor Group, oversaw the first delivery on Wednesday and met with Humaid Al Qutami, director-general of the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and chairman of Dubai Ambulance Board; Lt-Gen Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police; and Khalifa Hassan Al Drai, executive director of DCAS.

In 2021, 14 ambulances will be delivered worth Dh 7.3 million for the second batch and in 2022 18 more worth Dh 7.6 million.

The Group, with its contribution, seeks to support Dubai's first line of defence and strengthen health security measures in the country. "The least we can do for our beloved nation is to stand together in facing the dangers of the pandemic that threatens the security, safety and health of our community," Al Habtoor said.
