Suhana (5), daughter of Usman, resident of Perlaththadka near Katukukke in Perla, and Alfiya (1), daughter of Ashraf Kunhi, resident of Musodi near Uppala, are the deceased. Both are relatives and their parents have also been injured in the accident.

The family was traveling homewards in the jeep after participating in the Ullal Uroos celebration.

Ten members of a family were in the jeep, and this included the two children. Three of them are from Perlaththadka in Katukukke near Perla while others are from Uppala Musodi.
The children, who were seriously injured, were shifted to a private hospital in Mangalore, but could not be saved.
