The president and Jamaat members of Noorani Juma Masjid in a complaint to superintendent of police stated that a group of local youth barged into the mosque compound on the national highway at about 2.00 am in the morning and broke two window panes by pelting stones.

Meanwhile, it is reported that Noor – ul- Islam Juma Masjid was also targeted by the miscreants, who hurled stones at the mosque resulting in an inmate of its yateemkhana, 14-year-old Roshan being injured. He was admitted to a local private hospital in Tokkottu.

These attacks are absolute disgraceful. Whoever is doing this is bringing shame for themselves & their community. All We hear these days is that there are Attacks on churches and Mosques..They even steal from Temples. There are some low level organized groups either funding or encouraging these cowardly activities. When parents educated (if at all they did) these criminals, they must have had some good intensions. Little did they know that they were just grooming some criminals. Law is not doing anything to minimise these criminal activities. We know the beauty of Law in India. That’s another chapter. We condemn these attacks on Mosques, Churches & on those innocent Civilians. May God forgive them & Let’s hope for peace on our Wonderful Motherland India.

What a price the people of mangalore is facing because of unchecked borders of our country. Some of these people have been able to infiltrate our borders and staying here as uninvited guest and creating a disharmony among the peace loving people of mangalore. As per my knowledge, all the educated youth have moved to city and abroad. Rest left are the uneducated illiterate people who r doing such mischief. I request you poeple to catch atleast one of these rats...and hang them with out handing them to the police. A good lesson those so called local terrorist who r under the influence of the so called LET.

We know fully well that the sangh parivar is certainly nresponsible for this crime, so why beat around the bush talking ridiculous theories surising that anyone else could be repsonsible. Last week we were witness to hate speeches against the minority comiunity in the heart of mangalore, and some people still seem to believe that the BD and co are a bunch of angels!

I wont be surprised if these very people were clapping when those speeches were delivered. As regards people like 'Kareem' here (who talks of 'new life and all such nonsense), I humbly request you to log comments under your real name and not by masquerading under the guise fo someone from a different religion. True Hindus as I know them, are more milder and patient, than christians and Muslims. We know how terrorists are using Islam to gain support of ignorant Muslims. Similarly these small time baby terrorists of Mangalore are using Hindu religion as cover.

As far as I know them they do not drink, smoke, wanted to live free of sin although humanly it is impossible but they try their best to live utmost they can. You and your fundamentals have done so much sacrilege to the nation as well as to its own citizens which proves their deeds and you are asking proof? Even if Mr. Mahendra Kumar accepted in the media that he has carried out the attacks on churches he was removed by RSS from the post which he held. What do you need more than that? RSS people were died when transporting/planting bombs and such people you say are good enough to society and nation? They are the Guru’s all these fanatical organizations sprouted recently like mushrooms.

Dear Mr. Ashu Kundapura/UAE, I can understand your annoyance and anger. It is obevious. We have to console each other. We should study the mental status of people who attack us and then react accordingly. If a mentally unstable person pelts stones at your house, you won't retaliate in the same manner & if you, then there is no difference between you both. Similary, these mentally retarded people should be caught and detained in the place suitable for them. Whose duty is this ? I guess the govt. should act. Unfortunately, the govt. is silent on the very very explosive situation in Mangalore & undoubtedly, the day is not very far these minor incidents would grow beyond control as it was in Gujarat, Orissa, Pakistan & in Afghanistan. Let us pray that God save our beloved Mangalore from such disaster.

I fully agree with what Shahnawaz Kukkikatte has to say. That's the true spirit of any true religion. If the attacks were politically motivated, let's keep our cool by not retaliating violently. In this way, we will pour cold water in their intentions. Afterall, they are trying to provocate us, like in Gujarat, to hate our brothers/sisters from other communities so that there is communal disharmony in the state. By this, I definitely don't mean that we don't demand justice! Justice is what we must get but through proper channels without tit for tat violence. Otherwise, whoever has planned this will have the last laugh for their mission being successful!!!

I have been born in Mangalore & lived in this city for the first 21 years of my life, with all my schooling & education being done in a catholic institution in spite of being a Hindu by birth & never once did I come across an incident of the nature that we are now witnessing or getting to hear about. All the examples of hatred towards one another that I see around me in the world and especially in the context of Mangalore gives me a feeling that the growth of the the mankind & civilization in terms of technology, geography or whatever terms it is measured in is leading mankind towards a beast like behaviour, which to me seems like no one seems to understand nor is interested in curtailing.

Since no attempts are made from anyone as observed in most of the stupid comments that are made on this forum which I hope will not set an example to the present & the future generation. I wish & pray that my city gets back to those good old days, when living in Mangalore was in itself the most happiest, satisfying & more than anything the most safest experience in as compared to most of the cities in the country.

Very Disturbing News again...there is a misconception among majority of Hindus that all Muslims are supporting terrorism. This is 100% wrong.Hello Bajrang Dal..do you know that nearly 56 muslims were killed in CST railway station by Kasab and team. Do you know that all the dead 9 terrorists bodies were still lying in mortuary room in Mumbai Hospital, because NO MASJID in India were ready to take their bodies for cremation. As per Masjid committe ,they were enemies of India. And most important thing happend in Kerala is that body of Kerala terrorist who was killed in Indo-Pak border by BSF was not accepted by his own mother !! Kerala CM and people were stunned ! If you want,I can write books about Desha Prema of Muslim towards India. This is really disturbing trend in our beloved Mangalore. The organizations, which mainly consist of uneducated and unemployed youth can only bring disturbances and not peace.

My dear muslim/hindu/christian brethern. I call upon all of you to maintain peace and self dignity. Its handy work of some anti social elements. Its not endorsed or supported by masses. The majority are with peace and love. By attacking any places of worship, one cant achieve anything but self destruction. May God forgive them and guide them to the true path of love. Love unites and hate destroys. Kauravas were hundred in number but were wicked but pandavas were 5 in no. but were virtuous. When the virtues start ruling wickedness perishes and number and strength doesnt matter. Falsehood and wickedness by its nature is bound to perish.

Oh muslim brothers, though I am hurt, I call upon all of you to maintain peace and not to retaliate. Retaliation will call for more destruction and damages. These are enemies of peace and enemies of Inda. An outside enemy can be attacked, repulsed and killed. But an enemy within our house!!! Just imagine. We have to live with these enemies whether we like or dont like. Inside enemies are more dangerous than outsiders. Having said that, I ask those devils to read Bhagawadgeetha. How Lord Krishna destroyed evils though they were majority at that time. When God's punishment comesdown it doesnt matter whether majority or minority. Thats it.

The only way to stop this nonsense is ban Bajrang Dal and Ram Sene and exile its leaders somewhere in the Rajasthan desert or near the Indo Pak border where these cowardly goons will succumb and die due to heart attack at the very sound of gunfire... Or impose rigorous punishment such as serving the soldiers at our borders like cooking for them washing their uniforms, cleaning their shoes, bunks, camps etc. May be this will convert these animals into human beings.

With Acharya clearly directing police force to see the other way, not at RSS, these kind of incidents are bound to happen. That is the only amblical cord of current BJP.

It is premature to blame anybody at this moment unless a thorough investigation has to reveal who the culpurit is.It looks there is a network is in active to attack minority place of worship in Karnataka. Mr CM and MR VSA finally it is not good signal and if not contained, as govt only meeting the press and promising the public with a slogan "action will be taken" is counter productive.Govt's firm action in this matter awaited.

I think someone wants to disturb the peace & harmony prevailing in the vicinity. I wish the police catch the culprits ASAP & give them punishment.I think those crackheads dont have any work to do.
