Udupi: ‘Sadbhavana’ - Human Chain in Support of Harmonious Co-existence

Udupi, Jan 30: A NGO named ‘Sadbhavana’ had formed a human chain from Kadiyali in the city to Karavali Circle, on the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, on Saturday January 30.
















The human chain was inaugurated by Rajya Sabha member and former union minister, Oscar Fernandes, by offering floral tributes to the portrait of Gandhiji. Speaking on the occasion, he urged the people to have lofty ideals like the ones the Mahatma pursued, and asked them never to compromise on principles in their lives. He also felt that harmonious coexistence is the essence of happy living.

He inspected the human chain, formed by several Congress leaders and the students of schools, by riding on a decorated vehicle. Prominent personalities present on the occasion were, Blossom Fernandes, former MP, Vinay Kumar Sorake, former MLA, Gopal Bhandary, district Congress president, M A Gafoor, Ashok Kumar Kodavoor etc.

    what they want to prove.. by doing human chain.. oscar himself do not know yet what dress to wear during such occasions..'tan mein rangeela kapada..sar pe safed topi'.. let atleast 'mahatma' sleep peacefully.. stop all these dramas..with 'gandhi's name ..you people are already taken too much advantages... who know's of nehru worldwide???..

    The topi is black or white, it doesnt matter but one should see the message. RSS with black topi and kahki chaddi is nothing but derived from the inspiration of Hitler and Nazism who has the credit of manslaughtering millions. If ones inner conscious is pure/pious and God fearing we dont need such ceremonies. No body taught Mahatma Gandhi to be truthful and non violent. Its his inner soul made him Mahatma = A great soul. We know that there is one mahatma living within us, we have to wake up that aatma which is sleeping and blind to the misdeeds happening in our society. This awakening is not possible by political stunts like this, our comments and counter comments, but by injecting good values in the schools and by good parenting/upbringing. The religious heads of all religions have greater responsibility in preaching peace/non violence and co existance. I have attended many christian sermons, where they have been preaching forgiveness and peace. See the results. Christians are ever peace loving people on the planet, particularly in India. They didnt take to the streets or laws in their hands though their places of worship have been attacked by miscreants. Every religion should teach forgiveness, though it is there, but fundamentalism has over taken moderatism. We are human beings first and then come our religion. India means cluster of hindus/muslims/christians/jews/buddhists/jains/parsis/. Thats unity in diversity. Dont devide us. Stay united within, say no to the dividers.

    Any Party which encourages human coexistance with peaceful envoirnment,Cong, BJP,or JDS we have to support it and be associate of it.Sadbhavana,which means good feeling amoung us(human being) is need of the hour!Good work ! Keep going.
