Mangalore, Jan 14: The members of Mangalore Central Committee staged a protest in front of the branch office of Mescom at Mannagudda, here on Thursday January 14.

At the protest, the committee opposed the irregular supply of electricity by the state-owned public utility provider Mescom. The members of committee alleged that the personnel at Mescom branch of Mannagudda are not efficiently responding to the customer’s grievances and also assistant engineer (AE) does not attend to the customer’s call on his mobile.

Protestors further alleged that they found it difficult to report any emergencies during the night, as the personnel work from Lalbagh office after 7.00 pm. Mangalore Central Committee convenor Ali Hassan, president Aziz Kudroli, Ashraf Kinar, Mushtaq and Rahim Kudroli among others were present.

Mr Joseph, THE NEWS CLIP IS ON POWER. No use of making noise now. Noise should have been made before these multistoried buildings came up. Electricity supply was just sufficient for us a couple of years back. When the same amount of electricity is generated today and double the users (all in the name of development), from where to bring electricity. Same is with water. Unchecked development, no infrastructure is a boon to our politicians, bureaucrats and our govt. babus. While they make pots of money we cry "no power" "no water". Keep crying now.

Dear Mr. Nagesh Nayak, These protests are clearly proven that in Mangalore there is no power supply for 24 hours although I am frequently observing power cut in Mangalore. Despite once in a week from 09.00am to 05.00pm there is power cut for maintenance. And Mr. Nagesh Nayak writes blindly in bjp rule 24 hours power supply.
