In a memorandum submitted to ministers, the district unit of the KSGEA demanded that the state government to take steps to constitute a fresh pay commission on the lines of the VI Pay Commission of the central government.

It also urged that Mangalore should be recognized a B2 city and HRA should be given to the state government employees commensurate its status.
