Mangaluru, Dec 17: Electronics and Communication Engineering department of Srinivas Institute of Technology (SIT) had organized a 3-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on ‘Electronics System Design for Manufacturing using EDA Tools’ from December 11 to 13.

The inaugural function was held on December 11 and Narasimhan Saragur, systems architect, Saroja Enterprises, Mysuru, was the chief guest and resource person of the workshop. Principal Dr Shrinivasa Mayya D presided over the function.

Narasimhan Saragur in his inaugural address spoke about the importance of understanding the basics of Electronics and its role in Electronics system design.

Principal Dr Shrinivasa Mayya D mentioned the importance for the faculty members to have an industry point of view approach towards the manufacturing of Electronic systems.

Head of the department Dr Soorya Krishna K welcomed the gathering. Convener of the programme Prof Bheema Shastry rendered the vote of thanks. Prof Marina Chandy was the master of ceremony.
