Mangaluru: Blood Donation Camp held at St Agnes College (Autonomous)

Mangaluru, Dec 14: The Youth Red Cross, AIDS Awareness Education Cell and the NSS unit I of St Agnes College (Autonomous), here, in collaboration with Fr Muller Medical College, Mangaluru and United Friends Club, Bejai, Mangaluru organized a one-day blood donation camp on Friday December 13 at the A4, Avila Block.

The principal, Sr Dr M Jeswina A C was the inaugurator and Sr Dr Maria Roopa AC, the joint-secretary of the college was the chief guest. Dr Charu Khosla, department of Pathology, Fr Muller Medical College explained the importance of blood donation. Students from other colleges, parents and well-wishers attended the programme and donated blood. Around 106 pints of blood was collected.



Arun Rodrigues, president and Leslie Gomes, convener of the blood donation camp of United Friends Club, Bejai, the programme co-ordinators of NSS unit I of the college, Helen Serrao co-ordinator of the Youth Red Cross, Jayashree B were present on the dais.

Ayesha Abdul Kader, secretary of the Youth Red Cross and AIDS Awareness Education Cell, compered the programme. Shreenavya, NSS secretary welcomed the gathering. NSS secretary, Manasa Nair proposed the vote of thanks.
