Mangaluru: St Ann’s PU College celebrates gala Annual Day

Mangaluru, Nov 27: The annual day celebration of St Ann’s Pre–University College was held at the college premises.

Fr Praveen Martis SJ, principal of St Aloysius College (Autonomous) here, was the chief guest. Sr Maria Kripa AC, the joint secretary of St Ann’s institutions presided as the guest of honour.

The guests were welcomed with the guard of honour. The programme began with an invocation followed by a welcome dance.



Spearl Pereira, lecturer in commerce compered the formal programme, while Denica, Rifa, Meghana and Jinan compered the cultural programme.

The chief guest in his address appreciated the students for their talents and their academic output. He also urged them to inculcate the three ‘C’s ‘in life – Creativity, Competitiveness and Commitment.

In the prize distribution ceremony, students were recognized and honoured for their academic performance and extracurricular activities.

Cabinet members were also appreciated for their service with a memento.

Anil Noronha, lecturer in History rendered the vote of thanks.

Dances, songs, drama, tableau, hand and body mime constituted the gala cultural programme put up by the students. A college report was presented showcasing the activities for the year 2019-20.

The programme ended with the college anthem.
