Mangaluru: Capacity Building Programme on classroom management conducted at Manipal School

Mangaluru, Nov 22: Manipal School, here hosted a two-day Capacity Building Programme on classroom management organized by the Centre of Excellence Central, of the CBSE on November 15 and 16.

Anupama Ramachandra, principal, DPS, Electronic City and Dr Reshma Ganesh, principal, Sri Vidyamandir, Bengaluru conducted the training programme for 62 educators from reputed schools of Mangaluru and Udupi districts. Seven teachers from Manipal School attended the session which focused on the three components of Classroom Management:

• Content management
• Conduct management
• Covenant management



The resource persons stressed on effective classroom management as the learning process must happen and maximize student engagement. Seating arrangements and classroom environment also play a significant role in classroom management. One of the activities in the training session required the participants to design a dream classroom and present it to the audience.

The different styles of teaching styles were also discussed and the participants were able to decide on the ideal style of teaching. The training session was interactive and involved the participants in various activities.

The training ended with a reflection of the learning done. Further, the teachers decided on the strategies they would adopt back in their classrooms.

The participants received a certificate on completion of the two-day training programme.
