Mangalore: Anita Cordeiro is New President of Toastmasters' Club

Mangalore, Jun 28: Mangalore Toastmasters’ club, the Toastmasters club in the city, belonging to Area 4, Division B, District 82, conducted its Installation ceremony this evening at 8pm.
The Area Governor, Toastmaster Veera Katpatia, a member of the Winners’ club installed the new Board.
C.A. Lionel Aranha, Adjunct Professor, IIM Kozhikode was the Chief Guest for the evening.
The other members present were the President elect of Winners’ Club, Mr. Sudhir Ghate, the past Area Governor, Dr. C.K. Ballal, members of the Winners Club, Evening Toastmasters’ Club and also the Gavel clubs.
Maya Shenoy compeered the formal program, which was followed, by a short cultural program put up by the club members and their families.
Delia D’souza compeered the cultural program.
The Newsletter Editor Savita Shenoy, the Chief Guest of the evening, Lionel Aranha and the President released the fourth Newsletter of the club, “The Monsoon Magic”.
The club’s third Newsletter, won the First place in the Newsletter competition held at the District level at Colombo earlier this year.
Area Governor, Veera Katpatia, Dr. Sophie Zacharia, Sudhir Ghate, DTM Samina Nayak felicitated the club.

The Toastmasters is a voluntary club that trains its members in public speaking. The club works on a two-way track of Communication and Leadership providing skills in both.
Whether you are an employee or a manager, Toastmasters has something to offer you. Companies today are using Toastmasters to improve employee morale and improve organizational structure in tough times.
Presently Mangalore has three Toastmasters’ Clubs: Winners’, Mangalore Toastmasters and the Toastmasters’ Evening Club. All three have their meetings at the IOC, Valencia, Opp. Retreat house on alternate Saturday mornings and Friday evenings.
