Mangalore: Globe Travels Presents Pilgrimage Tour to Holy Places

Mangalore, Jun 26:  Fr George Santumayor, superior, Infant Jesus shrine in Bikarnakatta here, released brochures of the pilgrimage tour to holy places of 10 nights and 11 days duration, being organized by Globe Travels in September/October this year on Friday, June 26 at the Press Club.

After releasing the brochure, Fr George Santumayor said, the pilgrimage is a spiritual exercise in everyone’s life, which provides an opportunity for the pilgrims to get closer to Him and walk in His footsteps. The opportunity of visiting holy places comes very rarely. The opportunity does not come when we want it to and hence we should grab the opportunity when it comes our way, he added.
 
Globe Travels has been renowned for conducting pilgrimage tours since 1970. It has now drawn up a new package of holy places covering Rome, Assisi, Padua,Venice, Lourdes, Arenzano and Prague. These are the most revered holy places apart from Israel, which every Christian and Mangalorean Christians in particular, would love to visit, said William D’souza, Owner of Globe travels and Director of Interserve Travels.

      
‘Globe’ has organized more than 200 tours from Mangalore to Israel alone. Apart from the pilgrimage tours, it has organized several other special and holiday tours like the Rotary International Convention Tour and medical tours for the doctors, to name a few, he added.
 
The tour will start on September 17 and will end on 27th of that month. The holy see pilgrimage tour will cost Rs 51,000 plus Euro 1099 per person which includes travel from Mangalore-Bangalore- Mangalore by Volvo coach and economy class fare from Bangalore-Rome- Paris-Prague- Bangalore with food and accommodation in hotels of three star category. The cost also includes insurance, schengen visa and entrance fees and there are no hidden costs and no escalation clause will be applicable to those who confirm their pilgrimage tour, with a non-refundable deposit of Rs 5000 along with a photocopy of their passport before the end of July 2009, he explained.
