Mumbai, Jun 25: The metro started receiveing rains a few days ago. The meteorological department had predicted that giant waves might hit the shores from June 23 to 25.

Proving the predictions right, the Arabian Sea along the city shores has been rough, with giant-sized waves as high as 4.95 metres whipping the shores day in and day out since the last couple of days. The waves are particularly violent near the Gateway of India, opposite the Taj Hotel. Through the waves, the nature appears to remind the man that in spite of what he has achieved, he is nothing in front of the nature’s power as regards both sustenance and destruction.

Daring the rains, the citizens of the metro went to the seashores in droves to enjoy the beauty of the sea at its furious best. They too seem to be sending out a message that the people of the metro have courageously fought bombings, epidemics and terrorist attacks and huge waves can neither overawe them nor dampen their spirits.

Please note and be advised (seems you are not aware) that during the monsoon time, the shore water of the arabian sea is muddy due to the offloading of rain storm water by river and other streams.
