Bangalore: Ind MLA Vartur Prakash, Actress Shruti Removed from Posts
Daijiworld Media Network - Bangalore (SP)

Bangalore, Jun 16: In an unexpected development, the government showed the doors to Vartur Prakash, who was given the chairmanship of Karnataka Urban Water Supply and Sewerage Board (KWSSB) and actress Shruti, chairperson of the State Women Development Corporation. It may be recalled, that Vartur Prakash, an independent MLA from Kolar and a Siddaramaiah loyalist, had been given the above post after he extended support to the BJP, helping it to form the government in the state. Shruti was the star campaigner for the BJP in the recent Lok Sabha elections.

Vartur Prakash has been charged with campaigning for the Congress Party candidate during the recent Lok Sabha election, in Kolar constituency.  Sandeep Dave, currently functioning as the executive director of KWSSB, has been elevated to the post that fell vacant after the ouster of  Prakash.

Shruti had plunged into a deep controversy after she filed divorce petition against her husband and movie director Mahendar, who also is with the BJP. Many accuse her of deserting Mahendar at a time when he is facing financial crisis. On the next day itself, she had left the party leaders blushing, by announcing that she would marry another person. This action from a person holding an honourable post, had come for severe flak from within the party circles including former MLA Prameela Nesargi and others. State president of the BJP D V Sadanand Gowda too had expressed his discontentment about this development and had hinted of taking action against Shruti, but the actress had maintained that the party has nothing to do with her personal life.

The government has posted Dr D S Ashwath, secretary in the department, in her place. Reaction of Vartur Prakash, a fire brand politician and Shruti, a fiercefully independent actress, are awaited. It may be recalled that Prakash, who has been active in the Ahinda movement of Siddaramaiah, continues to enjoy very good rapport with the Congress leader and takes pride in claiming himself to be his loyalist.

The victorious party BJP has done the right thing by firing the people who don''t/didn''t support them. The BJP has the mandate of the majority of the educated people of Karnataka and it is high time that the minority NRI''s living in middle east supoort the party.

Both have betrayed the BJP Party in their own way. One has betrayed Politically, and another one has betrayed her BJP husband by secretly marrying another man before Divorcing him publicly. BJP, a Party with difference, has to struggle hard to keep up its CLEAN image?!?

Dear Ananth Bangadi, Your question is long over-due. Do not people have the right to choose their partners, even if they do not belong to the same religion? Should we need moral policing? Do not people have the right to choose the religion? Should it be imposed by a political group? This type of thinking comes from right education. Let religion and marriage be personal decision and let no political party try to gain political mileage by being defenders of culture. Even though these decisions have consequences on family and society, the society has changed anyway beyond control.

Those people who read this message must have seen a "Bumble Bee". A Bumble Bee does not sit at one place and when flies makes a irritating noise. Politicians in and around the world are not there to represent one party, they are irritants to society and to the voters and they never sit at one place. Everything they do is for their personal benefit and convenience.

Shruthi didnot deserve this . Only BJP peple given this post because she was working for party. So one socialite woman for this , who can do something for woman society. And Varthoor Prakash is a modern politician with strict speeches, so he should join to congress instead supporting to other party. Both are right in their personal life. But politically they are doing wrong.

Bieng a great BJP supporter, I am annoyed with this decision, specially on Shruthi case. Does not Shruthi have right to live her happy life? she was not happy with her hubby that''s why she has choosen to divorce him legally.

    Why this is double standard?

padmapriya case = no action against R Bhat?

renukacharya''s affair with Nurse = no action against minister Renukacharya? Why? Why?

why action against only with Shruthi?
