Karkala: NMAMIT gets ‘Diamond’ rating from QS I-GAUGE

Karkala, Aug 7: Nitte Mahalinga Adyanthaya Memorial Institute of Technology (NMAMIT) has been awarded ‘Diamond’ rating by QS I-GAUGE Indian Institute Ratings. QS I-GAUGE rating is administered by a joint venture of QS Quacquarelli Symonds Ltd of the United Kingdom and India’s ERA Foundation. The rating recognizes the Institute’s achievements in multiple areas by assessing it in six primary criteria and two secondary criteria such as teaching and learning, faculty quality, employability, student diversity, facilities, social responsibility, Arts and culture and Entrepreneurship. Institutions are rated on one of the five levels - Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond and Diamond+. Currently, no Institution in India has been rated in Diamond+ category. NMAMIT is the first Institute in India to achieve Diamond rating under College Category.

This recognition is a reflection of the contributions and commitment of the students, teachers and staff of the constituent departments of the institute. As much as 60% of the evaluation process was carried out through direct survey questions to students, faculty members and Alumni and 40% from the authentic data submitted by the institute.

NMAMIT, Nitte is also ranked in 128th position under engineering institutions category in India by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF 2019) by Ministry of Human resources and Development, Accredited with ‘A Grade’ by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council of India (NAAC), ranked in “Platinum Category (Intense Industry Collaboration)” by AICTE – CII and all the UG Programs are accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA), India’s premier accreditation body.
