Udupi, Aug 5: The NSS wing of MIAMS, Manipal inaugurated 'Swachhata Pakhwada' campaign on August 1 as directed by the Government of india.
The inauguration was done in the presence of principal Dr Satyanarayana B, vice principal Dr Chandrakanth and NSS coordinator Dr Veeraj Hegde.
All the candidates took an oath 'to work for 100 hours n year - At least two hours a week' to keep their surroundings clean. Also, the 15 day schedule of the programme was discussed as proposed by the Government of India.
As per the plan, cleanliness drive was conducted in and around Udupi railway station on August 2. The public was also made aware about cleanliness.
