Mangaluru: St Ann’s TTI hold seminar on account of Founder’s Day

Mangaluru, Jul 30: St Ann’s Teacher Training Institute, held a half day-long seminar on Founder’s Day here at the institution on Monday, July 29. It began by an invocation led by the teacher trainees.

The seminar was conducted by the resource person Sr M Sylvette A C, who presented the Life, Educational Principles and values of Mother Aloysia A C, the pioneer in education and founder of St Ann’s Teacher Training Institute, Mangaluru in 1890. In her session Sr Sylvette A C motivated the teacher trainees to take the example of Mother Aloysia A C, who was an educationist and teacher educator par excellence.

The entire half day was spent in knowing the visionary life and thoughts of their founder and the manner in which Mother Aloysia A C motivated the teachers to build up a positive attitude among students. The student teachers profited much by the principles of their founder presented beautifully by Sr Sylvette A C who also added by saying that every teacher trainee should live up to the life of Mother Aloysia A C and be the model to the society.

Viola Fernandes compered the programme as Sr Metilda Fernandes welcomed the gathering and Sadya rendered the vote of thanks.
