Mangaluru: Srinivas University organises mega job fair

Mangaluru, Jul 29: Srinivas University and Srinivas Group of Institutions, here conducted a 'Job Fair/UdyogaMela' at their city campus in Pandeshwara on Saturday July 27.

The job mela was inaugurated by chief guest Sasikant Senthil – district commissioner of Dakshina Kannada Mangaluru.

The DC stressed on need and importance of employment to fresh job seekers and significance of part-time jobs to develop professionalism among the student population.
The guest of honour for the event Daisy Kujur – regional manager of State Bank of India shared her feelings and experiences on relevancy of earning while in the learning phase of students. She expressed her happiness about being associated with Srinivas University.



The president of the function, chancellor C A A Raghavendra Rao stressed on students getting transformed into an employable graduate through active participation at such career events.

The pro-chancellor of Srinivas University, Dr A Srinivas Rao expressed his happiness on creation of avenues for employability in society. The vice-chancellor Dr P S Aithal presented introductory remarks on the event and extended gratitude to all the stakeholders involved in the event.

The registrar of Srinivas University Dr Anil Kumar, convener of Job Fair Registrar Development Dr Ajay Kumar, co-conveners deputy registrar Prof Ankith and the placement co-ordinator Prof Varun Shenoy were present on the occasion.

This year’s Udyoga-Mela attracted participation from around 85 organizations offering part-time jobs, freelancing jobs, apprenticeships, project trainees and internships along with full-time employment.

Around 1600 job positions were posted in the mela from participating organizations encashed by eligible and qualified 1800 job aspirants. About 2500 people visited the venue during the Udyoga mela at Srinivas University, city campus.
