Udupi: St Cecily's High School hosts district level shuttle badminton tourney

Udupi, Jul 27: Udupi district level shuttle badminton tournament, organized by the Education department was hosted by St Cecily's High School, here on Thursday July 25 at Ajjarkad indoor stadium.

The tournament was inaugurated by Dinakara Babu, president, zilla panchayat, Udupi. Other esteemed dignitaries who graced the inaugural were Rashmi Bhat, corporator, Ajjarkad ward, Sheshashayana Karinja, DDPI, Udupi, Manjula K, BEO, Udupi, Dr Roshan Shetty, Madhukar S, DPEO Tejashwar Rao, Yashpal Suvarna, Vishwanath Bairy, TPO, Sudharshan Nayak, Alwyn Andrade, Praveena, CRP and Vijaykumar Udyavar.

Fr William Martis rendered blessings for the success of the event. Sr Vibha AC, joint secretary of St Cecily's Institutions delivered the presidential address. Sr Preethi Crasta, headmistress welcomed the gathering and Edwin Mendonca proposed the vote of thanks. Preetham Pinto compered the inaugural.



The valedictory ceremony, compered by Saritha witnessed prize distribution to the winners and runners up. They were honoured by Surekha R Shetty, Sukanya Dayanand, Rajesh Mendonca, Madhukar S, Vishwanath Bairy and Sr Preethi Crasta. The achievers are:
