Mangaluru: Dengue outbreak orientation programme for NSS, Youth Red Cross held at St Agnes College

Mangaluru, Jul 26: An orientation on dengue outbreak and management in the district here was held at St Agnes College (autonomous) on July 22.

The programme was organized by the staff coordinators of NSS and Youth Red Cross, St Agnes College.

Around 100 students of NSS and YRC attended the programme. The programme began with a welcome speech delivered by Jayashree, staff coordinator of Youth Red Cross.



Sr Prathima, Ruth and Sona, students of Roshni Nilaya School of Social Work were the resource persons for the orientation programme.

The programme comprised of two sessions. The first session focused on the highlights of the disease and its mode of transmission. In the second session the speakers enlightened the audience on prevention and management of the disease.

Ayisha Abdul Kader, secretary of Youth Red Cross delivered the vote of thanks at the end of the programme.
