Mangaluru: World Hepatitis Day observed at Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing Balmatta

Mangaluru, Jul 26: World Hepatitis Day was observed on July 25 by medical surgical nursing department of Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing, Balmatta, here in collaboration with Government First Grade College, Kavoor.

The chief guest and resource person of the programme Dr Prashanth Hubballi, department of general medicine A J Institute of Medical Sciences, in the city enlightened the minds by sharing his valuable knowledge on Hepatitis.

Aileen Pereira, junior lecturer, Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing unveiled the theme 'Invest in eliminating Hepatitis'.

Dr Larissa Martha Sams, principal Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing addressed the gathering and spoke on prevention of Hepatitis.

Dr U Thara Rao, principal, Government First Grade College expressed her gratitude for taking the initiative to educate the students on Hepatitis.

1st year PBBSc nursing students of Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing added vigor to the programme by their informative health play on Hepatitis.

The programme came to a close with vote of thanks.
