Mangaluru, Jul 25: Saujanya Mahila Mandala, Hoigebail held a seminar on rainwater harvesting titled ‘Jaladhare Malekoilu Mahiti’ at Urwa on July 24.

Resource person, Rajendra Kalbavi lighted the traditional lamp and inaugurated the programme. He presented his thoughts saying that rain is a gift of nature. Demonstrating with tools he said, “It should not go to waste, but be collected for future use.” He also answered curious questions from the audience.

President Hemalatha Ramesh welcomed the gathering.



Honorary president Rohini K A delivered an introduction and vice president Rama Kalbavi honoured the guests. Secretary Rajeshwari Rao rendered vote of thanks. Cultural secretary Ratnavati Bykadi compered the programme.
