Mangaluru: International Yoga Day celebrated at Milagres College

Mangaluru, Jun 22: National Service Scheme, Milagres unit in association with Human rights cell celebrated International Yoga Day on Friday, June 21 at Milagres auditorium.

Devika Purshotham, Yoga guru was the chief guest for the day. She addressed the gathering by saying do not complain, compare and comment negative about others to be a successful person. “For a healthy life a person should have healthy food, adequate sleep, physical exercise and positive attitude. Yoga is not only for physical health but it also helps in our mental, spiritual and emotional wellbeing,” she said.

Fr Michael L Santhumayor, principal, Denzil E Pinto, NSS program officer, Anju Thomas, coordinator of HRC were present on the dais. As many as 65 NSS and 25 HRC volunteers actively participated in the programme.

The programme was compeered by NSS volunteer Mischelle and Princita J DSouza rendered the vote of thanks.
