Udupi, Jun 21: Milagres College, Kallianpur here organised a day-long orientation programme for the students of all degree courses. Dr John Clarence Miranda, retired principal of Pompei College, Aikala, was the resource person of the programme. On the occasion, he stressed on the importance of human values. He said, “Love and respect your institution, your parents, teachers and elders. It will lead you to great success.”

Further, he gave a call to the students to utilise the opportunities bestowed upon them. “You will get ample opportunities in co-curricular and extracurricular activities to exhibit your talents and excellence. Make use of these opportunities to be a successful person," he added.

The correspondent of Milagres Institutions, Fr Dr Lawrence C D’Souza presided over the programme. In his presidential remarks he said, “Spread the happiness and goodness everywhere so that you can achieve quality education.”

Principal Dr Vincent Alva, directors of the Student Welfare Council, Dr Herald Monis and Chandrika were also present on the occasion.

Ansel of III BCA welcomed the gathering, Ashitha of III BA proposed the vote of thanks and Roshni D’Souza of III BSc compered the programme.
