Mangaluru: Vikaas First Grade College holds BCom orientation programme

Mangaluru, Jun 21: Vikaas First Grade College was full of synergy and activity as new students came all geared up for their first day at the college. To break the anxiety with multiple charms, the college conducted an orientation programme for the freshers on Thursday, June 20.

CA S S Nayak, chartered accountant, Mangaluru, the chief guest of the function, motivated the students to excel in their academics as well as to develop awareness about the world outside. He stressed on the need of students involving in the extra-curricular and co-curricular activities which will contribute to the all round development of an individual. He also urged them to be employable rather than securing mere certificate of degree.

 

Krishna J Palemar, chairman, Vikaas Education Trust, conveyed his best wishes to the new students.

Students who secured high marks in second PU Board Examination from commerce batch were honoured on the occasion.

Prashanth, Tailwind, introduced the students to the scope and relevance of aviation course and Rohan Rajvanshi, CFO NEXT, introduced them to the scope and relevance of ACCA course. Suguna Nayak, lecturer, Department of Commerce, Vikaas First Grade College, briefed the rules and regulations of the college for the students.

J Koragappa, trusty, Vikaas Education Trust, Parthasarathi Palemar, coordinator, Vikaas Group of Institutions, and Dr Manjula Rao, dean, Vikaas Group of Institutions, and Prof T Rajaram Rao, academic director, Vikaas PU College, were also present on the occasion.

Ayshwarya K, principal, Vikaas First Grade College, welcomed the gathering. Soujanya Deepak, lecturer in Statistics, proposed the vote of thanks and the programme was compered by Deepika Shetty, lecturer, department of Commerce.
