Mangaluru, Jun 13: The student cabinet of St Agnes PU College for the academic year 2019-20 was formally inaugurated at the college auditorium on Thursday June 13.
The ceremony began with a prayer song.
The oath of office for the student cabinet, class representatives and their assistants was administered by Sr Norin Florin D'Souza, the principal of the college.
Dr Sr Maria Roopa AC, the joint secretary of St Agnes Institutions was the chief guest on the occasion.
During her address she exhorted them to not be mediocre, but strive to be the best. She advised them to put on their thinking caps and to come up with innovative ideas, while lending a helping hand to one and all.
This solemn ceremony was also witnessed by the members of the PTA.
The newly elected cabinet members are Susan Andrea Mendonca – Student president, Samah Assia Abbas- Student vice president, Rishita Picardo- Science secretary, Naomi Flavia Pereira- Commerce secretary, Fathima Samreen- Arts secretary, Tvisha K Shetty- Cultural secretary, B Rischika Thimmaiah- Sports secretary and Safeesa Saifa Sulthana- Student editor of the college magazine.
The ceremony was compered by Calista Mathias.
Agnes Samantha welcomed the gathering and Aiman Hussain expressed gratitude to all concerned for the success of the programme.
