Mangaluru: St Mary’s PU College cabinet inaugurated

Mangaluru, Jun 7: The student cabinet of St Mary’s PU College for the academic year 2019-20 was solemnly inaugurated by lighting the lamp by Sr Gloria, Sr Sahaya, Smitha and Hazira Zulfath.

The ceremony began with a prayer song followed by the oath taking ceremony which was administered by Sr Sahaya Mary, principal of the college. Sr Gloria, joint secretary of St Mary’s Institutions was the chief guest on the occasion. During her address she urged the student leaders to work together, she explained with a motivating story which showed the qualities of charity, love and service. She also stressed never to give up when there are failures. Finally concluded her address
with a quote ‘United we stand divided we fall’.



The newly elected cabinet members are Hazira Zulfath student president, Thanvika Shetty, secretary, Mariyam Umaiba, science secretary, Naila Abdul Nasser, commerce secretary, Kanzul Azmeen, sports secretary, and Fathima Thashmith, cultural secretary.

The programme was competently compered by Zulfa Naz, and Thanvika Shetty welcomed the gathering. Hazira Zulfath rendered the vote of thanks. The ceremony concluded with a value based skit and an entertaining dance.
