Mangaluru: Eid-Ul–Fitr, World Environment Day celebrated at Expert PU College, Kodialbail

Mangaluru, Jun 5: Expert PU College, Kodialbail on Wednesday June 5 celebrated Eid-Ul-Fitr and Environment Day.

The programme began with a prayer song followed by the inauguration of Environment Day by watering plants.

Speaking on the occasion, Ankush N Nayak, director- Information Technology said, “Both Eid and environment bring us together. It gives equal joy and happiness. Thus we should not divide ourselves on religion.”

Deepika A Nayak was also present and conveyed her best wishes on the occasion of Eid and Environment Day.



Principal Prof Ramachandra Bhat said, "It is a unique occasion as both Eid and environment are closely connected to each other, hence they uphold the necessity of conservation.

“The nature of our future depends on the future of our nature,” said Prof Lalitha Mallya. "The theme of Environment Day is ‘Beat Air Pollution’. She explained the different types of air pollution and different pollutants. “Ramzan means peace, tranquility and togetherness. So one should live in harmony with each other and with nature."

Anaghashree and Shrusti compered the programme, Sindhu welcomed the gathering and Sneha proposed the vote of thanks.

Lecturer in Physics Sathish Kamath, director of the programme, lecturer in Hindi Pramod Kini, HOD dept of Kannada Karunakar Balkur.

Many teachers and other members of staff were present on the occasion.
