Mangaluru: St Agnes PU College holds I PU orientation, felicitation of academic achievers

Mangaluru, Jun 1: The I PUC orientation programme of St Agnes PU College was held on Saturday June 1 at the college auditorium.

The programme began with a prayer song led by Sherlita and group. The excited PU students were welcomed with enthusiasm by Daphne Cruz. The toppers and centum scorers of I PU annual examination February were felicitated by the principal Sr Norine.

Nidhi Shenoy, Olin Dsouza, Vidhula Lokesh, the toppers of Science, Commerce & Arts stream respectively motivated students on how to manage studies.



Ciana Mascarenhas proposed the vote of thanks.

A PowerPoint presentation was shown to the students to familiarise them with the campus. The newcomers were addressed by the principal who briefed them about the rules and regulations that students need to abide by in this prestigious institution.

At a later session, the parents were addressed by Caroline Dsouza, consultant Neuro Psychiatrist who spoke about parents being a role model to their children and also about ways to deal with their wards at this crucial point in their lives. She asked them to allow the children to express their dreams and wishes so that they can bloom and achieve success. She stressed on the need to guide, encourage, support the career chosen by their children and appreciate the uniqueness in them. The parents were appreciative of the inputs given to them on ways to handle and guide their children toward a better tomorrow.
