Mangaluru: Tulu film ‘Katapadi Kattappa’ to hit record 200 screens on Mar 29

Mangaluru, Jan 11: One of the much-awaited Tulu films, ‘Katapadi Kattappa’ which is in news in the Coastalwood film industry, will release at more than 200 centres in India and overseas. 

The movie, scheduled to release on March 29, is directed by J P Tuminad under the banner of Brahmavar Movies.

The film is likely to be released in Sri Lanka also. Rajesh Brahmavar, the producer of the film and others had held ‘Raj Cup’ cricket tournament in Sri Lanka in 2013. As Rajesh developed friendship with people of Sri Lanka, he is eager to show the film produced by him there. The film subtitled in English will be shown in Jafna.

The film will be released in Singapore, Malaysia, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Bahrain, New Delhi, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Hyderabad, Maharashtra, Goa and West Bengal also.

The film team also wants to release the film in all the theatres in the coastal region.

‘Katapadi Kattappa’ is produced by Rajesh Brahmavar. Rudramuni is the lensman. Ganesh Neerchal is the editor. Music is by Prakash. Founder president of Biruver Kudla Udaya Poojary Ballalbagh will make his debut as lead actor. Charishma Ameen Farangipete plays the lead actress. Barke Yagnesh, and Vijay Kumar Kodialbail are also seen playing prominent roles.

The movie had set a benchmark when Kiccha Sudeep released its audio in the month of April last year. Since then, ‘Katapadi Kattappa’ has created lot of expectations with the posters of film becoming viral. ‘Katapadi Kattappa’ is one of the most anticipated Tulu movies in 2019.
