M'uru: Teaser of upcoming film ‘Agoli Manjanna’ to release on Dec 25

Mangaluru, Dec 24: The teaser of upcoming film ‘Agoli Manjanna’ will be released on December 25 at Karkala.

It is a story of an age old ‘Agoli Manjanna’, an extraordinary legend in history who could lift ten murra rice at a time.

Agoli Manjanna is said to have lived in about five generations ago in Chelarguthu near Surathkal and made history. International sportsman, Koti Chennaya serial film fame, Rohith Kumar Kateel will act as Agoli Manjanna in the upcoming film. The film will be directed by Sudhir Attavar and produced by Muniyalu Uday Kumar Shetty.

The film in Tulu, Kannada and Marathi languages is being produced simultaneously under the banner of Success Films. Gujarati film star Himangini will be the heroine of the film. Former minister Abhayachandra Jain and Alva’s Education Institute president Dr Mohan Alva too have acted in the film.

    We heard during our childhood, Agoli Manjanna was a voracious eater, hence he seems to have said like this:

    The Karkala Rama samudra should turn into milk
    Konanje stone should turn into rice cake
    My mother Dugge should lay the food
    And I, Manjanne should eat it with pleasure.
