Mangalurean lass Clareena Serrao wins ‘South India Queen’ beauty pageant

Mangaluru, Oct 7: Clareena Serrao from Mangaluru has made the city proud by winning beauty pageant – ‘South India Queen 2018’ recently.

Clareena, is the daughter of Cyril Serrao and Clara Serrao, from Kinnigoli. She was born and brought up in Muscat, Oman and now settled in Bengaluru. She has an elder brother.

She works as a project manager with Ernst & Young, one of the top four audit firms from past eight years. She has completed MBA Finance from Bangalore Management Academy and has BCom degree from Jyoti Nivas College.

 

South India Queen 2018 was organized by ‘Sankey Events’ that is in fashion industry from past 20 years. The pageant theme was ' Beauty with a purpose' and there were 23 finalists from all over.

Speaking to daijiworld Clareena said, “The pageant lasted for 7 months as we had many events spending time with underprivileged, visiting blind children, kids affected with cancer, abused families, etc.”

Clareena bagged Miss Popular, Miss Congeniality 2018, Brand Ambassador and Kerala 1st Runner up (this is only allocation as most contestants are from Karnataka).

“This has been a beautiful moment for me and has happened only because of God and I believed this was his will. In addition what I have taken back from this is that we must continue to work hard each day giving our 100% and believe in God and nothing will stop you from reaching great heights,” she added.
