Thumbs up for Shilpa Suvarna’s acting skills in Tulu film 'Pammanne the great'

Mangaluru, Aug 28: 'Pammanne the great', a Tulu movie by Ismael Moodshedde based on life of fishermen which was released recently has been well-appreciated by the cine-lovers.

The Nethravathi character played by Shilpa Suvarna as a fish selling woman has been appreciated by the audience.

Shilpa who sells fish in the movie, is lured by a son of rich man from her village. For the role, Shilpa personly visited Kaup fish market before the shoot to get into the skin of the character. She interacted with the fish selling women at the market and also sold fish for four days before the commencing shoot.

Earlier she was seen in Tulu hit films 'Dhand' and 'Thottil'. She has also worked for a Kannada film titled 'Snehachakra'. She has also acted in Hindi album 'Dil ka diwana' and Tulu album 'Feeling moke'.

She was aspiring to be a pilot before entering movies. She had also undergone training at Avalon aviations academy in Mumbai. Presently she resides in Udupi.

Ismael Moodshedde has also written the story, screenplay and dialogues. Cinematography is handled by R K Mangaluru.

Pruthvi Ambar and Shilpa Suvarna play the lead. Aravind Bolar has been featured in a very special character. Child artiste Dhvanith Suvarna Kateel and Sandalwood’s Ramesh Pandit are also part of the film. Pran Shetty and Vijay Mayya are playing the negative roles.
